For your mind

"Decisions are strategic, choices are personal."
Seth Godin

For your toolkit

In an overly crowded software space, making decisions about our tech stack can feel overwhelming. Stackfix is a simple tool that helps you compare software solutions side by side to find what works best for you.

For your next collective decision

When bees need to find a new home, they don't just pick the first option. They employ a fascinating decision-making process that mirrors our own collective choices.

Scout bees fly off to explore options, then return to the hive and perform special waggle dances to communicate information about potential new homes for the colony.

They even poke and nudge to influence each other until the group reaches the best decision - much like how we influence each other when making collective decisions.

Deciding what you really need

Speaking of decisions, when was the last time you reviewed your subscriptions?

Those small (and sometimes not so small) monthly fees can add up quickly and drain your resources financially and mentally. With each subscription bringing its own app, login credentials, and notifications, reducing your subscriptions can help you declutter your devices, inbox, and mind.

Here's how to handle this:

  1. List all the subscriptions you're paying for, including prices and the annual cost for each. To make sure you don't miss anything, check your bank statements for recurring expenses (don't forget yearly subscriptions) or ask your bank to list your direct debits for you.
  2. For each subscription on your list, ask yourself: Does this still serve me? Does it bring value worth its cost? Is there a cheaper or free alternative?
  3. Based on your answers, decide what stays and what goes. Then, cancel unnecessary subscriptions right away or put that task in your calendar for this week.

To make sure you're always aware of your subscriptions, set reminders to review them regularly.
