Happy Monday Reader!
If you missed my latest emails, here's a quick update. Every Monday throughout this year, I'll be sharing curated content that inspires me, along with a suggestion for you to try that week —hoping you find at least one thing you love in each issue.
Before moving on, I want to thank you all who replied to last week's newsletter, shared their experience with setbacks, and let me know that my perspective was helpful.
We don't get likes or comments on emails, so it's almost impossible to know if our content resonates. The only way we can know for sure is when a reader writes back. Receiving responses in the first week was insightful, as it's still new territory for me.
So, thank you for your openness and kindness. And keep going, my friend. You've got this.
Moving on...
For your ears
Music is highly subjective. A tune that hits me in the heart may not sound that special to you. And I’m afraid this may be the case for “Summon The Fire”, a song by The Comet Is Coming.
Trust In The Lifeforce Of The Deep Mystery is one of my favourite albums of all time. And as I’m dedicating this issue to the things that tickle our brains with pleasure, I’m sharing a special track from that album.

Last week, Notion released a new app where you can create a Notion-style avatar. Similar to Notion's building blocks, you can create an image of yourself by combining a selection of drawings. With a variety of options for facial expressions, hairstyles, and accessories (plus background colour and text for social sharing), you can create an avatar that represents you in the Notionverse.
What makes this tool stand out is its inclusive design. Notion created it with people from all over the world in mind, including many attributes that honour different cultures and identities —which is exactly what makes the Notion community so special.

“Make sure you create something just for you. It doesn’t matter if it’s great or if people like it. All that matters is it’s yours.”

How do you start your week?
Every Monday morning, I sit down with a cup of coffee, silence notifications, and focus on the week’s most engaging task. Starting the week with something I enjoy motivates me to get back to work and sets an inspiring tone for the week.
We can redefine our relationship with Mondays by intentionally creating space for work that motivates us.
Action: What part of your job do you enjoy the most? Is it content, design, making calls, tackling some admin work while listening to your favourite podcast? Find whatever it is that excites you and block out time for it on Mondays, even if it’s just for 30 minutes. Make it your priority.
Once you complete the first task of the week, reward yourself with your favourite snack or a short walk around the block. It’ll make your day even more enjoyable.
When you find your perfect Monday morning ritual, I’d love to hear about it. Send me an email or DM and share your experience.
Happy Monday,
Merve
